It all Started with 531 Ridgewood
Meridian Capital Holdings has come a long way since our first renovation at 531 Ridgewood Blvd in Altamonte Springs FL. It all started here, a simple house with 3 beds, 2 baths and a kitchen and baths that had not been updated since the house was built (in 1971). The house was located in a great neighborhood close to the Altamonte Mall, I-4, 436 and 434. Just a fantastic and great location.
Here is Ridgewood when we purchased the house, chain link fence, little curb appeal and pretty boring.

The kitchen didn’t look like this when we bought the house. This photo is after we started demolition, you can see the cabinets are very dated and in general it just wasn’t very attractive. What you can’t see is the pantry we removed and the wall to the living room we opened up.

Here is the master bathroom, tearing out the old tile in the shower gave us a bit of a surprise. Whoever put the tile in put chicken wire in with the mortar of the tile. This added additional work for our crew but since we had a firm fixed price contract it was no additional expense to Meridian Capital Holdings.

The guest bath has a nice honey comb tile which is probably original to the house

Since this was our first house, we were nervous and probably over did it a bit, but it set the tone for all the other houses we have done since then. Meridian strives to put the best product on the market for potential buyers, we want to make our houses an easy sell.
So what else did Meridian do to the property? Meridian painted the interior and exterior, steam cleaned the tile, painted the ceilings (of course right after this we found a small leak in the roof but it was an easy fix), painted the shed in the back, and did a good amount of landscaping. The garage was converted into living space (by the previous owner) and after much debate we decided to leave it, it added something like 400 SqFt to the house and was done rather nicely.
Here is what the final product looked like from the road. No more chain link fence, new shrubs, fresh paint, this really upped our curb appeal.

The kitchen really was a home run for us, the white cabinets with crown modeling, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances make a great combo. To the left of the picture where you see a serving area, is where the pantry used to be. The new look is much improved and gives the impression of more space.

The bathrooms have a spa like look and feel, with granite tops and nice wood vanities. Of course one of our favorite features is the new toilets with push button flush. We don’t have any pictures of the new showers but you’ll have to take our word that they were very nice.

We put this house under contract during the open house, which in late 2009 was almost unheard of. The first house of many that Meridian Capital Holdings has successfully sold.
